Behind the guide

About & credits

DineTaiwan is a photography-led guide to eating your way around Taiwan. This page says what it is, how it is made, how far to trust it, and who to thank.

What this is

About DineTaiwan

DineTaiwan is a photography-led guide to eating your way around Taiwan: the dishes, the night markets, the restaurants worth a detour and the cities that shape them. It is written in English and Traditional Chinese, and the Chinese name is always on the page, because that is what you will find on the sign.

The guide is a work in progress, and we are building it in public. Entries are drafted with the help of AI under editorial direction and labeled with how well they have been checked. New pages arrive on a schedule you can follow. Photographs come from people who chose to share them openly, and every one is credited below.

A note on accuracy

Researched, not guaranteed

DineTaiwan is a researched guide, not a live directory. Hours, prices, menus and awards change, and a stall can move or close without notice. Please check before you go. A look at the venue’s own page or a map listing is usually enough.

What the labels mean

Every entry carries one of three labels. Here is how many of each the guide has today.

  • Draft

    7 entries

Written from general knowledge and not yet checked against sources. A good starting point, so read it with care.

  • Reviewed

    93 entries

Cross-checked against at least one published source.

  • Verified

    15 entries

Practical details such as the address, opening hours and awards were checked against current sources.

How entries are written

  • 115 entries were drafted with the help of AI under editorial direction.
  • The most recent review on record is from October 11, 2026.
